Equipment
Dash Rapid Egg Cooker (6-egg, DEC005)
Hard boiled water
~4.4 tbsp / 60g (fill to the HARD line on the cup)
Medium water
~2.5 tbsp / 35g
Soft water
~2 tbsp / 25g
Total time
~12–15 min

Doneness is set by water amount, not time. The cooker runs until the water boils off, then buzzes. The cup's fill lines are the source of truth; use the amounts above if the cup is lost.

Directions

  1. Pierce the wide end of each of the eggs with the pin on the bottom of the measuring cup.
  2. Fill the measuring cup to the hard-boiled line (~4.4 tbsp / 60g of water) and pour it into the heating plate.
  3. Set the boiling tray on the plate and place the eggs pierced-end up, one per spot.
  4. Cover with the lid, plug in, and press the power button.
  5. When the buzzer sounds, unplug and lift the eggs out.
  6. Drop them into an ice-water bath for a few minutes to stop cooking and make peeling easier.
